Intermediate Musicianship Classes
On Thursday, Intermediate A singers received a workbook from the series, "A Young Singers Journey", used by expert choral conductors and choirs throughout North America. Intermediate Honor was working on another project and will receive their books next week.
The workbooks will help teach children valuable musicianship skills related to reading and understanding music notation. These skills will in turn allow your conductors to introduce increasingly exciting and challenging repertoire, and will make learning that repertoire easier and more fun! There will be a small amount of homework given from the workbook each week, so that the Musicianship Curriculum Director can monitor the progress of each child. These workbooks are simply a part of - not a substitute for - the curriculum being taught during musicianship classes. Class time will continue to be a mixture of singing, analyzing, writing, answering questions, and playing games. Learning and fun will continue to go hand in hand at Cantabile!
Intermediate A Homework: Pages 1-4. If you don’t have a CD player at home, please contact cassie@cantabile.org right away!

Have a great weekend, and happy practicing!
