Blog Update 05/23/2014

Dear Intermediate Singers and Families,

The first round of evaluations took place yesterday - great job to everyone who sang! - and the rest of you will be evaluated next Thursday, May 29^th.  Click HERE to verify your time-slot. Please remember to arrive at your evaluation 15 minutes before your time-slot, and to bring your musicianship workbook if you have received it back. If you haven’t yet signed up for an evaluation next week, May 29^th is now full; please email cassie@cantabile.org for instructions on how to be evaluated.

Selected Cantabile Ensemble and Vocalise singers are participating in a performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers on May 31^st at Stanford Memorial Church with the Stanford Chamber Chorale and guest conductor Craig Jessop. It’s sure to be a marvellous concert – a truly beautiful musical work performed in a beautiful acoustic setting. Click HERE to purchase tickets! I hope to see many of you there!

Rehearsal Blog Update 05/15/2014

Dear Intermediate singers and families,

Congratulations on your fabulous performance at the May 10th All Choirs Concert! We are so proud of your amazing work!

Just a quick reminder that all Intermediate A and Honor singers need to sign-up for an evaluation with Cassie. Please visit the sign-up spreadsheet HERE if you haven’t don so already. 

Please bring to your evaluation:

- Your evaluation form completely filled out (you will receive this via email shortly)

- A pencil

- Your musicianship workbook if you haven't handed it in yet OR if you've already gotten in back. (If you haven't received your book back, it will be brought to your evaluation for you - don't worry!)

- Your beautiful voices! Make sure that you have Hats and all three movements of Bless the Lord perfectly memorized!

Rehearsal Blog Update 05/09/2014

Dear Intermediate singers and families,

We are so excited about our upcoming All Choirs Concert! This is our first time producing the All Choirs Concert at FUMC in Palo Alto — with two hundred more seats than the Campbell church we have used in the past 7 years, FUMC is a great space to perform and to be in the audience! 

Concert Week Schedule

Friday, May 9 Dress Rehearsal: First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave, Palo Alto. 

Drop off/sign-in and pick-up at Byron St church parking lot.

Drop-off time: 4:15pm. Rehearsal: 4:30pm. Release time: 6:30pm.

PLEASE BRING: a water bottle with your name clearly marked. No uniform required.

Saturday, May 10 All-Choir Concert: FUMC, Palo Alto. 

Drop off/sign-in and pick-up at Byron St church parking lot. 

Call time: 2:30pm. Concert at 4:00pm. Please come fully dressed in your performance uniform including dress shoes (no boots!), with your hair neatly brushed/off your face.

PLEASE BRING: a water bottle with your name clearly marked.

Rehearsal Blog Update 05/02/2014

Dear Intermediate Singers and Families,

Congratulations on an EXCELLENT rehearsal last night – you sound fabulous! A final reminder that ALL SINGERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN HAT TO NEXT WEEK’S REHEARSAL. Please ensure that it is a non-noisy hat!

Thursday, May 8^th: Last rehearsal at Foothills – PLEASE BRING YOUR HAT! All hats must be approved by the conductors.

Friday, May 9^th: Dress rehearsal for All Choirs Concert, 4:30-6:30pm, First United Methodist Church. Don't forget your hat!

Saturday, May 10^th: All Choirs Concert at First United Methodist Church. Call time 2:30pm, concert 4:00pm. Don't forget your hat!

Families new to Cantabile as of January 2014: the Cantabile uniform is required for performance. Please ensure that you have already purchased it! Click HERE for more details/to purchase.
