Rehearsal Blog Update 11/27/2013

Dear Intermediate Singers and Families,

Happy Thanksgiving! The next time we see you will be at the dress rehearsal! Please work hard over the next week to memorize ALL repertoire!

Schedule Reminders

Nov 28 - NO REHEARSAL (Thanksgiving)

Dec. 5^th – Dress rehearsal for Holidays With Cantabile concert, St. Joseph’s in San Jose

Call time: 4:45pm

Dismissal: 6:30pm

Attire: IN CANTABILE UNIFORM (see here: uniform orders) with black dress shoes, black tights/socks (no sneakers, or boots), and hair tied back/off the face. Please ensure that you have already ordered the uniform! Children without the proper uniform won't be able to participate in the concert. Thank you for understanding Cantabile’s concert policies.

Pick-up instructions: If you are picking singers, you must park your vehicle and meet them in the lobby of the church sanctuary. You will NOT be able to pull up outside the church and wait in your car, and singers will NOT be able to go and find you outside.

Dec. 7^th – Holidays With Cantabile concert, St. Joseph’s Cathedral in San Jose

Call time: 11:30am

Concert time: 1:00pm

Dismissal: 3:00pm

Attention Parents: Concert Volunteer Opportunities

The concert offers many opportunities for Cantabile families to fulfill their required volunteer hours (10 hours per year per family). Please sign up here:

ALL PIECES MUST BE MEMORIZED FOR THE CONCERT. Please work extra hard on Silent Night: you will perform it in the dark with candles, which means you won’t be able to see a conductor mouthing the words to help you! Also spend extra time making sure you know all of the words in the Chocolate Carol.

Recordings: You will soon receive Silent Night! Please listen to all recordings several times before our last rehearsal! They will help you with memorization, tone, and vowels!
